Synergy Between Politap and SMK-SMTI Pontianak Strengthens Vocational Education

On Friday, 20 November 2020, the Director of Politap and his delegation conducted a working visit to SMK-SMTI Pontianak. The Politap delegation was welcomed directly by the Principal of SMK-SMTI Pontianak, Mrs. Sih Parmawati, at SMT on Jalan Sulawesi, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan.

During the meeting, the Principal of SMK-SMTI Pontianak expressed her gratitude for the visit by the Politap delegation and presented an overview of the educational system at SMK-SMTI, including the implementation of the dual system, internship programs, industrial cooperation, and the application of information systems in laboratory services.

Endang Kusmana expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit SMK-SMTI, stating that his team gained a clear picture of how SMK-SMTI Pontianak has fully implemented a reliable vocational education system. According to him, a miniature model of vocational education has been presented so elegantly and reliably at SMK-SMTI. Gaining inspiration from this visit through various good practices applied at SMK-SMTI, Endang hoped that Politap could collaborate and build synergies with SMK-SMTI in the future to strengthen vocational education.
