KETAPANG – The Center for Research and Community Service (P3KM) of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) conducted an internal Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Research and Community Service (PKM) for the 2023 Academic Year on Wednesday–Thursday (13–14/09/2023).

In this Monev, Politap invited Dr. Narsih, S.TP., M.P. from Politeknik Negeri Pontianak as a reviewer. Officially opened by the Vice Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anto Susanto, S.ST., MP., the event took place over two days, Wednesday–Thursday, 13–14 September 2023.

In his remarks, the Vice Director for Academic Affairs stated that the Research and PKM Monev is a regular annual agenda of P3KM. For all lecturers, this activity should serve as a positive motivation to continuously enhance the quality of research and PKM, requiring outcomes such as publications in accredited journals or indexed international journals, which contribute significantly to both the institution and the lecturers' academic ranks.

Research and Community Service (PKM) activities are part of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), which is an obligation that every lecturer must fulfill according to their respective academic background.

The implementation of Monev is an integral part of Research and PKM activities. Monev is conducted to assess achievements and the alignment of activities implemented under the 2023 Academic Year Research and PKM Programs.

Through monitoring and evaluation activities, research and PKM can be identified and evaluated so that they run properly and achieve their expected targets, while maintaining quality and accountability through Monitoring and Evaluation (MONEV). Research Monev is part of the stages of research activities. These stages include proposal submission, selection, implementation, and reporting. Thus, research and PKM Monev must be conducted to ensure that research and PKM activities have been carried out in accordance with approved proposals.

The Research and PKM Monev was conducted through performance presentations by the Research and PKM Implementation Teams, supported by relevant evidence, followed by discussions and clarifications of the activity results. The results of the Research and PKM Monev will serve as a basis for subsequent follow-up actions in implementing Research and PKM programs.  (P3KM/Finan Su)
