Politap Holds 2026 Hardiknas Ceremony, Reaffirming Commitment to Quality Education for All

Ketapang, 4 May 2026 — Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held a flag ceremony to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 on Monday (4/5/2026) on the campus grounds. The ceremony was solemnly attended by leadership, lecturers, administrative staff, and students.

This year's Hardiknas commemoration carried the theme “Strengthening Universal Participation to Realize Quality Education for All”, underscoring that education is a collective responsibility of all elements of the nation.

During the ceremony, the ceremony inspector read out the address of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Brian Yuliarto. In his address, it was stated that education is the heart of civilization that shapes character, sharpens intellect, and determines the future of the nation.

It was also conveyed that amidst global challenges such as digital disruption, the climate crisis, social inequality, and the advancement of artificial intelligence, education remains the most strategic solution in building an advanced and competitive civilization.

Furthermore, the transformation of higher education is directed towards three main pillars: expanding inclusive access to education, strengthening collaboration to produce real solutions for society, and developing research that has a direct impact on the nation's progress. Various programs such as KIP Kuliah, affirmative scholarships, and the strengthening of strategic research are part of these efforts.

The Hardiknas momentum also served as a reminder of the contributions of Ki Hajar Dewantara as a pioneer of national education, whose values of struggle remain relevant in building an emancipating education system.

On that occasion, the Director of Politap stated that the Hardiknas commemoration is not merely ceremonial, but serves as a collective reflection to continuously improve the quality of vocational education that is adaptive, innovative, and brings tangible impact to society.

“Through this spirit of Hardiknas, we strengthen our commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically competent, but also possess character, integrity, and the ability to contribute to national development,” he said.

The ceremony concluded with a joint prayer and hopes that education in Indonesia continues to develop toward realizing an excellent generation in welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045.
