Politap Management Visits Sei Awan Kiri Village to Strengthen Tourism Village Technical Guidance

The Director and Vice Directors of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) visited Sungai Awan Kiri Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang Regency on Tuesday, 29 September 2020, and were welcomed by the Village Head of Sungai Awan Kiri, Mr. Sudharto. This visit aimed to strengthen the follow-up to the technical guidance activities previously conducted by Politap together with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for 25 village residents to prepare them for managing a tourism village. The activity also received support from the Nevada Ketapang Hotel.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang stated that the Tourism Village is one of the initiatives under the Politap Building Vocational Education from Villages Program, and his team will continue to oversee the implementation of this activity. After the technical guidance is conducted, the next step is to prepare tourist spots to be attractively packaged to draw visitors. According to him, the tourism industry will be a sector capable of revitalizing the post-pandemic economy.

Meanwhile, the Village Head of Sungai Awan Kiri welcomed the visit of Politap management to his village as a form of commitment to collaboratively and consistently develop the Tourism Village.
