Politap Director Endang Kusmana and Vice Director for Academic Affairs Adha Panca Wardhanu attended the Indonesian State Polytechnic Directors Forum meeting held virtually on 5 May 2021. Politap's Vice Director for Academic Affairs stated that the Directors Forum agreed on several matters, namely that registration for SBMPN 2021 would run from 10 May – 10 June 2021. The execution of the test is entrusted to each polytechnic, whether using portfolios or UTBK; the UTBK test will be conducted on 12-15 June 2021, and entrance tests using written exams will be held on their respective campuses on 15 June 2021. The announcement of test results will be on 19 June 2021. Test procedures must be clear upon registration should subsequent special tests follow. The SBMPN registration fee is determined by each polytechnic, and choices are limited to 3: choices 1 and 2 are MANDATORY CHOICES at the institution of origin, and choice 3 is at another polytechnic for cross-polytechnic options.
Meanwhile, Politap Director Endang Kusmana stated that his institution will conduct the entrance examination for the SBMPN (Joint Selection for State Polytechnic Admission) track using a Computer-Based Test. According to Endang, prospective students can take the test from home provided they have reliable equipment; in case of any doubt, Politap has also prepared computer laboratories for the examination.
Vice Director for Academic Affairs Adha Panca Wardhanu stated that this SBMPN is open to prospective students for Diploma III study programs, namely Diploma III Agroindustry, Diploma III Plantation Product Processing Technology, Diploma III Informatics Engineering, Diploma III Machine Maintenance and Repair, Diploma III Electrical Engineering, and Diploma III Mining Engineering.
