Politap Ready to Realize Electronic Ketapang Travel Guide

KETAPANG – Tuesday (30/08/2022). Together with the Ketapang Regency Department of Culture and Tourism  and MASATA (Tourism Awareness Community), Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) held an entry meeting to discuss a tourism development project in Ketapang Regency.

Ketapang Regency has great tourism potential. Many tourist destinations in Ketapang Regency can serve as holiday getaways. Unfortunately, the presence of tourism in Ketapang Regency remains low due to the lack of available information and promotional media.

In line with technological advancements, it is considered necessary to provide a tourism information platform for Ketapang Regency through electronic media. Consequently, a project to develop the e-KTG (Electronic Ketapang Travel Guide) was initiated, containing tourism information, particularly within Ketapang Regency.

This project was established with the goal of strengthening the branding of Ketapang tourism villages managed by Village Heads, BUMDes, and Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Groups) in Ketapang Regency. Tourism villages are one of the programs run by Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to build vocational education from the village level. Politeknik Negeri Ketapang is ready to support through project-based learning to boost the potential of tourism villages as travel destinations in Ketapang Regency. Moving forward, this project will be developed by IT lecturers from Politeknik Negeri Ketapang skilled in application development. (Finan Su)
