In his presentation, Endang discussed current challenges, specifically limited Customs and Excise revenue sources, regulatory policies (such as the Voluntary Disclosure Program or PPS) affecting tax revenues in 2022, and the suboptimal multiplier effect of capital expenditure due to low absorption rates.

Endang added that proposed solutions include formulating new regulatory policies to boost tax revenues, accelerating capital expenditure to drive economic growth, encouraging MSMEs to join the state budget (APBN) ecosystem, enhancing the role of the Triple Helix for collaboration on green roads and bauxite tailings, addressing global policies and challenges, and improving education on tax and customs awareness alongside developing the potential of local own-source revenue (PAD).

According to Endang, Media Briefing activities like this are highly beneficial in improving the performance accountability of the APBN in Ketapang Regency and North Kayong Regency. Currently, the Ministry of Finance, BPKAD of Ketapang Regency, BKD of North Kayong Regency, and BPS continue to work in synergy to produce updated data that will benefit policymakers, banking institutions, researchers, investors, the media, the public, and various other stakeholders.
