Politap Signs MoU with the National Library

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), alongside heads of New State Higher Education Institutions (PTNB), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Library at Bidakara Hotel Jakarta on 14 March 2019. The scope of cooperation includes 1). Development of human resources in the library sector, 2). Development and utilization of the INLISLite library automation application, 3). Development of information and communication technology in the field of library, documentation, and information, and expanding library networks through the development of digital databases and repositories: Indonesia OneSearch (IOS), iPusnas, and scientific publications, 4). Joint development and utilization of library collections, 5). Scientific meetings, joint research, and publications in the library field, 6). Collection and preservation of printed and recorded works (KCKR), and 7). Implementation of library promotions and the development of a reading culture.

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang stated that in 2019, the institution would focus on improving governance in the Library Technical Service Unit (UPT Perpustakaan) and developing it in 2020 through the implementation of various plans with the National Library. Endang hoped that UPT Perpustakaan could conduct a self-evaluation and formulate a comprehensive plan regarding library development.
