Service digitalization (Dilan) within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) will soon be implemented digitally, serving as one of the programs to enhance accountability and improve governance. The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, accompanied by the Vice Director for Student Affairs and Information Systems and the Head of the Information and Communication Technology Center, signed a cooperation agreement with PT Sevima in Surabaya on 10 April 2019. This collaboration was established following discussions regarding the implementation of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD). In his remarks, the Director of Politap stated that the implementation of SiAkad Cloud is an effort by the Director of POLITAP toward campus digitalization to improve services & information transparency, enabling students of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang to access various campus services digitally.
When confirmed further, Endang stated that the ambition to implement information systems or digital services across all operations must be carried out smartly. With limited financial capacity and high ambitions, Politap must consider data security, bandwidth capacity, servers, human resources, power stability, and other infrastructure facilities. Therefore, collaboration with third parties serves as a solution through an efficient and effective scheme, especially for academic services, which according to Endang are linked to reporting systems to the Ministry (Higher Education Database).
Regarding other services, Endang mentioned plans to empower existing systems and utilize the research outputs of lecturers. Vice Director for Student Affairs Epriyandi stated that his office will utilize existing information systems, namely SIDUL (Title Submission Information System)—an application for final project title submissions and consultations—and SIMBAR (New Student Admission Management Information System). Meanwhile, other online services to be developed in 2019 by leveraging lecturers' research findings include SIMANRA (Treasury Management Information System), a service for budget disbursement submissions from work units to financial management; SISUKE (Office Correspondence Information System), an online correspondence service within Politap between work units and General Administration; SIMANJA (Performance Report Management Information System), a performance reporting service from work units or staff to Politap management; and SIMADI (Tuition Fee Report Management Information System), a non-tax state revenue reporting system within Politap. Furthermore, the Vice Director for Student Affairs stated that his side aims to digitalize services to guide Politap toward becoming paperless in line with the POLITAP FOUR-S concept (Smart, Speed, Solid, and Sincere).
