Dewi, an applied bachelor's student of Road and Bridge Construction Engineering Technology at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), successfully broke into the top 7 of the Gold Medalistar X Remote Scoring Challenge traditional archery competition, which was attended by 810 participants from three countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam—held from 8 to 10 January 2021.

Hairian, the advisor lecturer of Politap Archery (Polarc), stated that this competition was quite unique as it was held in a hybrid format, meaning the competition took place at each participant's respective location with assessments conducted online using information technology. Hairian further explained the competition mechanism, “We were asked to visit and download the score sheet from the website: https://ianseo.net, then download the Ianseo scorekeeper application via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), match the QR Code on the score sheet, wait for authorization from the committee in Malaysia, then carry out the competition following the committee's directions and conduct scoring through the designated system; after scoring was complete, we emailed it to the committee.”

Hairian mentioned that this kind of competition was the first time they participated in such a system. Meanwhile, the Director of Politap, accompanied by Vice Director for Student Affairs Epriyandi, stated that under any circumstances Politap students must remain active in participating in competitions. According to him, this competition had its own uniqueness and served as an innovation in developing interests and talents. Endang was grateful that Politap students are always actively participating in international archery competitions, and the institution will continue to support Politap students in maintaining their achievements.
