Politap Supports Mangrove Center in Developing Kedabu Fruit

On Monday, 9 May 2022, at the Department of Plantation Product Management (PHP), the management of Kuala Satong Mangrove Center was received by the Head of the Department of PHP to discuss the commercial development of Kedabu fruit as a tourist attraction for Kuala Satong Mangrove Center.

Sakrani explained that his visit was a follow-up to discussions with the Director during an earlier friendly visit to the Mangrove Center regarding the development of kedabu fruit. As a result, his team was directed to meet with the Head of the Department of PHP and several Educational Laboratory Technicians (PLP).

The Head of the Department of PHP, Neneng, welcomed the development plan for Kedabu fruit, noting that PHP lecturers had conducted research confirming that Kedabu fruit is fit for consumption;  therefore, the department is ready to support developing kedabu fruit into syrup, dodol, and other derivative products.
