SISM-Genting Plantation Berhad Group Supports Politap Link and Match

The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) and his delegation conducted a working visit to PT. Sepanjang Inti Surya Mulia (SISM), a subsidiary of Malaysia's Genting Plantation Berhad, on Friday, 6 September 2020. The Director, accompanied by Head of Partnerships Martanto and Amanda from marketing, was welcomed by Mr. Eries Surya Laksana, Representative Office Manager of PT. Sepanjang Inti Surya Mulia (SISM).

This working visit was aimed at enhancing the link and match between Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and industry. During the meeting, the Director stated that the partnership with SISM, which has been established through internships and curriculum development, will be elevated to a closer level. This includes strengthening existing internships in a more targeted manner as part of implementing a 1-year internship program, utilizing industry lecturers by opening opportunities for practitioners to become lecturers, guest lecturers, and speakers in various tri dharma activities within Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, practitioner lecturing through the placement of Politap lecturers in industry, and conducting Joint Research activities.

Mr. Eries Surya Laksana, Representative Office Manager of PT. Sepanjang Inti Surya Mulia (SISM), warmly welcomed and supported the program to improve the quality of the link and match between Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and industry. In the near future, this will be followed up with a visit to the company's Research Center and Training Center to further reinforce the collaboration.
