KETAPANG – Thursday (14/07/2022). Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) conducted an industrial visit to strengthen the link and match between Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and PT. Limpah Sejahtera. The group consisted of 16 staff members and lecturers from Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, as well as 50 students from the Plantation Product Technology (THP) Study Program, Department of Plantation Product Management, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, cohort XIII.
Head of the Politap Cooperation Working Group Martanto stated that this visit was carried out to monitor and evaluate the internship and practical field work (PKL) activities of students from the Plantation Product Technology (THP) Study Program of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang. The objective was to enhance curriculum and educational quality through collaborative curriculum development with industry partners and stakeholders. The visit also featured knowledge-sharing regarding industrial link and match.
During the visit, students of the Plantation Product Technology (THP) Study Program of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang gained insights into the palm oil production process and products from A to Z. Accompanied by mill instructors from PT. Limpah and instructors from Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, the students inspected the palm oil processing mill. In addition to the inspection, students were given guidance and a presentation by Mr. Sudirman, trainer at the First Resources Group West Kalimantan training center. Furthermore, students received encouragement through briefing sessions, motivational advice, and discussions on corporate work ethics. (Finan Su)
