On Thursday, 19 November 2020, Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) and Tribun signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Tribun Pontianak office, attended by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and his delegation. The arrival of the Politap team served as a friendly gathering between Politap and Tribun Pontianak, while also discussing institutional development cooperation for both parties, specifically for Politap in developing journalism and corporate branding. The arrival of Politap representatives was welcomed directly by the General Manager Business of Tribun Pontianak, Julia Lorrains, who greatly appreciated the commitment of the Politap Director and his staff to Tribun Pontianak.
The Director of Politap shared information and plans for cooperation between Politap and Tribun to be carried out starting in January 2021. General Manager Business of Tribun Pontianak Julia Lorrains expressed her gratitude to Politap for visiting her office and expressed hope for further synergy to enhance collaboration in the future.
On that occasion, Julia also stated her readiness to help Politap gain wider recognition and public attention. She hoped that this meeting would make a significant impact, especially for Politap, to become better known and gain the attention of the people of West Kalimantan, considering that Politap offers very specific Study Programs, particularly in the palm oil industry and mining sectors.
Endang Kusmana welcomed the partnership, stating that if Tribun has the slogan 'local eyes reaching Indonesia', then Politap hopes 'Mata Desa Politap' reaches Indonesia. According to him, Politap is currently developing the 'Politap Building Vocational Education from the Village' system, so that through the cooperation between Tribun and Politap, this program can be strengthened and improved, enabling Politap's performance as a vocational higher education institution to empower Indonesia through village community development.
