Dean of Agriculture of UPB Conducts Working Visit to Politap

Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Panca Bhakti (UPB) Pontianak Ir. Agus Suyanto, MMA, accompanied by Vice Dean III (Student Affairs/Alumni) Setiawan, SP, MP, conducted a working visit to Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) on 17 July 2020. The Dean of UPB's Faculty of Agriculture was welcomed by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang, Vice Director for Student Affairs Epriyandi, Head of Partnerships Martanto, and Public Relations Officer Januarso in the Director's office. Politap Director Endang Kusmana stated that the visit by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of UPB Pontianak was an initial step toward establishing synergy between vocational and academic higher education institutions. The Director noted that efforts to improve the quality of human resources in West Kalimantan are the collective responsibility of all parties according to their potential and will be more effective if carried out synergistically and in an integrated manner.

Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of UPB Ir. Agus Suyanto, MMA stated that this visit was an initial step to be followed up with a meeting between the Director of Politap and the Rector of Universitas Panca Bhakti through the signing of a partnership agreement between Politap and UPB. He welcomed the synergy to be fostered with Politap, particularly in helping develop the potential of Ketapang Regency, which is rich in natural resources.

Meanwhile, Martanto, Head of Partnerships at Politap, stated that the scope of collaboration would encompass institutional cooperation covering education, problem-solving-based research, community service activities, field work practices, Career Development Centre & Tracer Study, human resource development programs, as well as scientific publications and seminars.
