Community Service is one of the pillars of higher education's Tri Dharma. In line with the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's community service activities were fully directed toward preventing the spread of COVID-19. The Electrical Engineering Study Program, one of the eight study programs at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic), conducted community service activities in Sei Awan Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang Regency on 25 July 2020.

This community service activity by the Electronics Engineering Study Program took the form of donating PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to the Community Health Center in Sei Awan Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang Regency. Head of Department of Electrical Engineering Erick Radwitya, S.ST, MT stated that this activity shows that Politap is present and committed to fighting the spread of COVID-19 together. Erick added that his team produced PPE in the form of face shields, which were then distributed to the Sei Awan Community Health Center and the ambulance medical team. They produced them because the availability of medical-standard PPE was still limited and required time for delivery.

Erick conveyed that the spread of COVID-19 must be prevented collectively so that it does not continue to widen, noting that its spread can only be contained through the cooperation of all parties in adherence to health protocols.
