KETAPANG – Monday (28/08/2023). The Opening Ceremony of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, held from 28 to 30 August 2023, was conducted in the courtyard of the Directorate Building of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang.
The Director of Politap began his remarks by congratulating new students who had completed the selection process and been accepted as new students of Politap, and explained the purpose of the PKKMB activities.
“This PKKMB activity is very useful in providing preparation, helping students adapt to the campus environment and all its systems that they will encounter during their studies, which are certainly very different from life in secondary school,” he explained.
The Director added that PKKMB is also aimed at fostering teamwork, mental resilience, and networking.
“In addition, PKKMB is intended to build teamwork and mental resilience, serve as a venue to build relationships with peers, seniors, and lecturers, and introduce the campus culture, which can inspire and motivate students throughout their studies and later after graduation.”
On this occasion, the Director also highlighted the Merdeka Belajar principle initiated by the government, urging the entire academic community of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang and the students, including new students, to embrace it as a principle and commitment, particularly in advancing research and innovation activities.
Before concluding his speech, the Director called on everyone present at the ceremony to continue striving together to improve the quality of learning, research, and community service, ultimately leading to excellent study program and institutional accreditation, so that Politeknik Negeri Ketapang becomes the educational destination of choice for people across Indonesia, especially the community of Ketapang Regency.
