Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Ketapang State Polytechnic) received the second-place award as an Informative Public Agency in the Higher Education category from the West Kalimantan Provincial Information Commission in 2019. The event, held on 5 December 2019, took place at Balai Petitih, West Kalimantan Governor's Office, attended by the Governor of West Kalimantan, Mayors/Regents across West Kalimantan, the Chairperson of the Central Information Commission, the Chairperson of the West Kalimantan Information Commission, and heads of public agencies across West Kalimantan.
The Director of Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Politap), who attended the Public Information Openness Award ceremony, expressed pride and gratitude for this achievement. According to him, since assuming his duties at Politap in early 2019, his administration has been committed to public information openness. The Director added that to him, the website is a gateway to convey information to the public regarding the institution's commitment, coordination, and innovation, making public information openness a necessity so that the wider community can obtain comprehensive information about Politap.
On this occasion, the Director expressed his gratitude to the Information Commission for appreciating the efforts of all personnel at Politap, hoping this will serve as a healthy supplement and positive energy for the future development of Politap.

Rank 3: POLITEKNIK NEGERI SAMBAS
Rank 4: UNIVERSITAS PANCA BAKTI PONTIANAK
Rank 5: IKIP PGRI PONTIANAK
Meanwhile, in a separate location, Encik Eko Ripkowaty as Vice Director for General Affairs and Finance as well as Politap's PPID implementing officer explained that achieving second place involved various stages. This initiative began with sending a SAQ (Self Assessment Questionnaire) to 152 public agencies in West Kalimantan, with 20 public agencies participating in the higher education category. Politap then submitted the SAQ results along with supporting data to the Information Commission. The Information Commission subsequently verified the SAQ by evaluating website development, public information announcements, public service information services, and the provision of public information. Following this, public agencies delivered presentations, with assessments emphasizing commitment, coordination, and innovation. "Hopefully, this award will motivate Politap to work even better," Encik hoped.
