The Joint Entrance Selection for State Polytechnics (SBMPN) is an admission pathway designated for prospective candidates (school students) pursuing education at Vocational Higher Education institutions or State Polytechnics across Indonesia.
The name of the SBMPN admission pathway is a rebranding from the State Polytechnic Entrance Examination (UMPN). This name change was the outcome of joint discussions and decisions at the National Forum of State Polytechnic Directors held in Surabaya back in December 2019.
The SBMPN admission selection was originally scheduled to be conducted through a written exam; however, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the written test has been cancelled and moved online. The 2020 SBMPN administration is conducted similarly to the National Selection for State Polytechnic Admissions (SNMPN), commonly known as the Invitation Track.
In this year's selection pathway, participants register ONLINE by paying the registration fee and subsequently filling in the data in the application (according to the instructions). Following the SBMPN schedule, applicants then await the announcement of the admission results.
The SBMPN Admission schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, 19 May 2020 = Registration opens
- Thursday, 25 June 2020 = Registration closes
- Saturday, 04 July 2020 = 2020 SBMPN Announcement.
